Baxendale Care Home Staff
Jacqui has been Baxendale’s Manager since 2006. Before that she managed a care home in West London. Jacqui has a background in general nursing and a management qualification. Her specialities include Health Promotion and Accident & Emergency.
Joanna has been Deputy Manager at Baxendale, and Jacqui’s invaluable right arm, since 2009. Prior to that she was the Head of Care at a care home in London.

We take the word ‘care’ very seriously at Baxendale. All the staff at Baxendale have one goal in mind: we’re all here to ensure our residents stay as healthy and happy as possible and get the best out of their life here.
Baxendale has over fifty members of staff. Twenty seven are dedicated to residential care, with eighteen fulfilling domestic and kitchen duties. Many of them have been with us for over ten years, which reflects the ‘family’ feel of Baxendale.
Jacqui Gordon, our experienced manager, heads the Baxendale team and oversees the continual changes and improvements to the home. Jacqui is supported by her deputy manager, housekeeping manager, training officer, maintenance manager and team leaders.
Although we operate a ‘keyworking’ system, care is provided by all the staff on duty at any given time. Our care staff work in three shifts, which ensures a full 24 hours of coverage each day. As you’d expect, all our staff have CRB clearance and fully checked references.
Our residents’ health and wellbeing is always our paramount concern. We ensure every resident receives the care they require, arranging visits from GPs and District Nurses. All our residents have access to a dentist, optician and chiropodist. A visit to our on-site hairdresser also goes a long way to making them feel and look good.
Ann has been Baxendale’s Administrator since 2012. Although she joined us relatively recently, Ann has already become a pivotal member of the Baxendale team.
Betty has been a member of the Baxendale family since 1992, when started here as a Care Assistant. In 2004 she became Team Leader and has built on that role. Betty is now responsible for all staff training and development.
Carrie has been Baxendale’s Housekeeping Manager for 15 years. She manages both the catering and domestic staff. She also manages to keep them, and herself, smiling.
Balazs Ferenc Hamori
Balazs has been Baxendale’s activities organiser since March 2017. Before that he was a Care Assistant at Baxendale for a year. As well as working in other care homes Balazs also worked for the Hungarian Red Cross as a youth organiser.
Karen joined us as our bookkeeper in 2008. Since then she’s made sure all our Accounts are in order, all our t’s are crossed and all our i’s are dotted.
Yvonne started her career with Baxendale in 1998 as a Care Assistant. She was promoted to Team Leader in 1999. Since then she’s become a valued and indispensable member of the Baxendale family.
Tim has been Baxendale’s Maintenance Manager since 2015. He’s worked in care homes for the last 15 years and is the man behind the scenes, responsible for the maintenance and repairs that keep Baxendale ticking.
